Clean Skin Care + Solutions for Problematic Skin
Is it a good skin day or a bad skin day for you today?
Even if your skin typically has no major issues, I am pretty sure you also get that pimple every now and then. And thx God if it's just one.
In this post I am going to tell you about the products I currently love for my skin as well as share a few tips on how to keep your skin clean and healthy. I am not a skin professional or anything; I am just sharing what works for me based on my own experience.
My skin type is normal to combination. I get a little oily at the T-zone in summer. During winter my skin can get quite dry. Normal skin basically :) I typically do not have any major problems with my skin. Unfortunately, I still can get few break outs on and off.
Problem #1 Break outs/Blemishes/Acne/Imperfections
Whenever I got a pimple I used to freak out, because I usually never get them and then when I did I had no clue what to do.
Thankfully I have Internet access, so I have done my research and that's how I found the solution to my exact issue. Do Your Research - someone out there probably already had similar problems and, who knows, they might also have some solutions ready and worth a try.
What works for me are the products by a well known drug store brand La Roche-Posay from their range EFFACLAR.
EFFACLAR DUO [+] will fight the pimple overnight, but can leave the skin quite dry. Hence I recommend to use it precisely at where the blemish is.
EFFACLAR DUO will clear out your skin in just a few days. But remember that to see the results you have to use it religiously every morning and every night, and not use any other products on your skin while treatment. I put it all over my face; it doesn't dry out the skin.
EFFACLAR Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream saves me whenever I see that my skin is about to go a little cray cray. It had some salicylic acid in it, so great to prevent acne too.
Problem #2 Uneven Skin
First of all you have to get rid of dead skin cells and any sort of dryness. Find yourself a good scrub that is not too abrasive. I like to use this one from JASON. It leaves my skin really soft and smooth.
Problem #3 Uneven Skin Tone
To even out my skin tone I like to use tinted moisturisers/BB creams - nothing too heavy. Light to medium coverage should do the trick. The best BB cream that I have used so far is the one from LUMINE; i talk about it in this post.
Problem #4 Dehydrated Skin
Don't skip your daily skin care routine! I really like this De-Puffing Eye Serum from DARPHIN PARIS. It's very lightweight - great for summer.
I have also been using a Smoothing Fluid from DARPHIN for my face. Unfortunately I ran out of it :( and i don't think i saved an empty bottle to show you what it looks like, but go over to their website and check it out if you are interested. I really recommend this cream. It feels super light on skin - again great pick for summertime. I am all about lightweight formulas for my face!
This next one may seem like a waste of money. However, when I feel lazy it is so easy to just spray it all over the face. It's definitely better than not to do any skin care at all. It's also great for refreshment during hot summer days.
They offer this kind of Eau Thermale from a bunch of different brands in the drug store. I went forward with the one from Avene because it was on promotion :D
That's pretty much all I currently use for my skin care routine.
I would also recommend to look into your diet:
Definitely cut down on sugar, chocolate and sugary drinks. All this stuff can cause breakouts!
Eat dates, figs and prunes! They are naturally sweet.
Drink water! It gets out all the toxins from your body.
Do sports! Your skin naturally cleanses while you are sweating :)
Hope this post was helpful to some of you out there. Let me know in the comments what are your favourite skin products.
xoxo
