Eating duck and waffle in the highest restaurant in the UK!

Ohhhhh Maaaah Gaaaahhhh! London is AMAZING!

Maybe I just was the lucky one visiting the right places with the right people.

Something tells me that London is actually an awesome city whether you are enjoying it in a great company or wandering alone through its gorgeous shopping streets.

No wonder everyone wants to go there! I am now one of those people too! Officially!

London is huuuuge! So many things to do! And everything is open till the small hours!!!

If you are from a big city, you probably think I am crazy to even mention it since it kinda goes without saying. But here where I currently live it is pretty hard to find anything open after 18:30. HAHAaaa #prettysadifyouaskme

So i arrived in London on a sunny Sunday April 19; no rain, nothing like what they talk about. It was hot! I was literally sweating in my jacket. And it has been like that during my whole stay.

Well, it did get quite coldish at nights, but oh well. Outstanding restaurants fixed this little issue.

This one was the restaurant where i had my breakfast. I believe it is a part of the Montcalm Hotel, the hotel where i stayed. The Montcalm Hotel claims to be a 5 star hotel. Now, I do not have any pictures of the hotel room to share with you, but i am gonna tell you the room was pretty basic. I wouldn't give it a 5. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. They kinda upgraded me, but from the reviews I learned that they kinda upgrade everyone. Kinda is the key word. :D

The building where the hotel is looks really cool. Similar to what this restaurant looks like. It's a pity that i didn't take more pictures. But you can check their website if you are interested.

Breakfast was okay, it wasn't great. Overall i give this hotel a 4 (out of five - as my rating). It was okay, but not great. The prices are relatively high. But London IS expensive.

Now for the fun part. You know Ria loves food :) And when the food is good, the company is great and the view is this gorgeous, I mean, what else can one wish for?

Taking dining to new heights!

Duck and Waffle is located on the 40th floor and is the highest restaurant in the UK (according to their website).
I ordered their signature dish which is called "Duck and Waffle" :D and it was absolutely amazing. I really recommend this place. Suitable for any occasion (maybe dress a little bit fancier for this one ;)

Address: Heron Tower (110 Bishopsgate) London, Greater London.

I am in love with London streets. Seems like I am going to meet Harry Potter wandering along one of them. (I am not referring to the guy on the pic wearing glasses hahaha No!)

Isn't it so pretty?!
A bunch of corporate peeps gather here for an after work drink, I noticed :)

Another find! Gaucho restaurant offering the true taste of Argentina. I can't believe i do not have a picture of their interior, but trust me it is sooooo fancy.

This restaurant in on level -1 i believe. It's quite dark inside. Modern interior. Looking quite fancy as I mentioned. But not overwhelmingly fancy. I would describe it as relaxed fancy (if that makes sense).

Apparently they have a bunch of restaurants across London and even internationally.

Address of the restaurant I have been to:
1 Bell Inn Yard, London, Greater London.

Needless to say the food was ahhhmazing.

How pretty is that tree?!?! @ St. James Park

More beautiful streets

Wesminster Abbey

The London Eye. I didn't get to get the ride. I will definitely be back. Even if it is just for that.

Another restaurant that i really wanna recommend is called Cinnamon Kitchen. It is a great Indian restaurant offering relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. The staff is really nice here (as well as in all the restaurants I have been to in London). Unfortunately i do not have any pictures neither of the restaurant not of the food - it was dark and the lightning wasn't enough - but go over to their website if you are interested.

Address: 9 Devonshire Square, London, Greater London.

No clue why I haven't got a picture with Big Ben (!!!)
But go over to my Instagram  - there you find a little video with the one and only (Big Ben I mean of course)

Catch you in my next post!

xoxo
