Traveling back in time? Rome, Italy
Are you curious where i am traveling to today? As some of you might know i went to Italy quite a while ago now and I never got a chance to post anything about it. However today, on this quiet Friday evening, I am going to let my memories travel back in time to one of the most beautiful ancient cities - I am traveling back in time to Rome. And I am bringing you guys along with me. Let's go!
Now, it all happened in September, when i realised i missed any sort of summer holiday and I really needed to go away for a while and to get some well deserved (as I like to believe) time off.
It's funny when I think back about this trip, because it was kind of planned, but not super well planned, if you understand what I mean. So I was pretty much ready for any adventure and I pretty much wasn't expecting anything at all.
Rome. Full of tourists, who are trying to find their way through the crowd to a gorgeous achitectural heritage. Full of annoying street vendors who are trying to sell selfie sticks and ridiculous bracelets, and whose target seems to be absolutely everyone.
Has Rome always been that busy? Probably yes. Everyone wanted to live in Caput Mundi. It's kind of like New York today.
I tried to imagine for a moment that all the tourists and street vendors are gone, that I am the only one there, just standing in front of Pantheon and the surrounding streets are completely empty... I literally felt Pax Romana.
A second later, though, I again had to say "No, thank you" because i really didn't need a selfie stick.
That said, if you hate crowded places and tons of tourists, be ready because that is exactly what you are going to find in Rome. They say it is the most touristic city in Europe today. And I have to say I believe it is true.
On most of my photos, which I hope you will enjoy in a minute, you won't see many tourists, but it is only because I really tried hard in order to avoid that.
I will leave some of the good food place recommendations below, so go and check that.

Food Places!
Suprisingly I found it so hard to find a good food place in Rome. So here are a few recommendations for you. Hope you will find it useful.
Breakfast place – Coromandel tip: come early as it gets busy fast.
Pasta place (and more) – Etabli
Pizza place (pizza was real good!) – Emma
Ice cream - Giolitti (best ice cream I ever had in my entire life)
Coffee – Sant’Eustachio
"Coromandel"
"Emma"
Have you ever been to Rome yourself? What is one place everyone absolutely has to see? Leave all that in the comments! I'd love to hear your stories.
Ciao!
