My trip to Japan | April 2016 | こんにちは

こんにちは my friends! It is (according to google) kon'nichiwa and means 'Hello' in Japanese for those of you who didn't know. Interestingly and quite surprisingly I only maybe heard it 3 times during my two weeks stay in Japan. People just say 'Hi' to each other over there too.

If you follow me on Instagram @mariaosym you have probably seen some of the real time picture updates from me. Which is awesome! I love Instagram and go follow me if you haven't already.

So yes, I went to Japan. Tokyo has always been on my list of the cities I definitely must visit. It was not the next one on the list to be completely honest with you, but the opportunity came my way and i decided to seize it.

It in fact was my first trip to Asia and I must say it was exactly how i thought it was going to be - different, quirky, amusing. Definitely a lot to discover, definitely worth visiting.

So i flew from GVA to NRT via WAW with LOT Polish Airlines (economy) and it wasn't terrible. The total duration of oneway trip was about 15 hours. Now, the seats in economy are okay, I guess. The only problem for me really is the entertainment aboard. I mean it's 15 hours; LOT really has to enrich their movie library, because the choice was pretty poor. Also the headphones that they give away are ridiculously bad - i literally couldn't hear anything properly so watching a movie during the flight was rather a pain. But enough about bad things. No need to worry, especially over such trifles.

I wanna say I visited a lot of places, so many that I quite frankly don't think I can remember the names of all of them. Okayama, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Miyajima, Hiroshima are only some of the names that I can still get from my memory. The trip was quite intense. I obviously wanted to see a lot of places and at first 2 weeks seemed like a lot of time and for the places I have managed to visit, I think, 2 weeks is the perfect amount of time. However no doubt Japan has a lot more to offer and I wouldn't be surprised if I found myself travelling back there again one day.

The photos that I am going to share with you in this post are a little bit from everywhere across Japan. There will be two separate posts dedicated to People of Japan and Sakura and other blossoms that i am going to publish shortly. So keep your eye peeled for that.

Meanwhile enjoy a random collection of photos below and let me know your comments.

Also, if any of you ever been to Japan I would love to hear your stories.

xoxo
