Best foundation with natural finish - NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation review

I picked NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in a Duty Free at one of the airports on a whim really. I have never even owned a NARS product before i think. It's definitely a high-end brand which consequently means it is quite pricey. However, to be honest with you I don't mind spending a little bit more on a foundation as long as it works i.e. looks natural, not drying out my skin and not cakey looking.

I really appreciate the packaging - I think it is just gorgeous, very classy. But more importantly I am also happy with the product. I honestly cannot remember when i was last happy with the foundation.

On my skin NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation provides a medium coverage, which is enough for me as i don't have any major imperfections. However if you are looking for full coverage I am not sure this one will be buildable; I tried but it didn't work. Medium coverage looks very natural on my skin. In fact I can hardly tell I am wearing any foundation, but the skin definitely looks more even and brighter and just overall beautiful.

The formula of the foundation is super liquid so you have to shake the bottle well before using the product, as it tends to separate a bit. Another thing to note is that the product sets quite fast, sometimes it seems like it's almost too late to blend it out because it has already set into the skin. Nevertheless it blends just fine.

The finish is not dewy, as one might expect. It is in fact luminous - just as the name claims. And I love it because that's what makes it look so natural. I particularly like to use it over the CLINIQUE's dramatically different moisturizing lotion. 

They offer quite a range of shades. I am in shade Mont Blanc (my skin is quite fair with pink undertone) and it matches my skin perfectly.

Overall I like this foundation. I'd suggest that you get a sample and see if you can work with the formula. Otherwise it's a great product and I highly recommend it. I will definitely be trying more NARS products in future.
