Midnight in Paris
I have been watching a lot of movies recently and at some point i though of posting something like my top 10 movies that i recommend to watch. I might actually do it, let me know in the comments if you would like me to, but today i literally just finished watching Midnight in Paris and I simply had to share my impressions with you.
Now, to be completely honest with you, I though the movie started at a little boring note.. And I even paused it to have a Skype chat :) But finally I ended up going back to the movie and I am glad I did.
Don't get me wrong, the movie starts with insanely beautiful streets and views of Paris and I love Paris. And speaking of Paris I posted about my trip to Paris some time ago, so go check it out if you missed it. What I am trying to say is just that the story of the movie has taken a little while to really kick off. And I am only putting it here so that you don't press the stop and close button. I really recommend to continue watching...
Because as soon and Gil (Owen Wilson) first goes back in time and meets the icons of art and literature - this is where the movie has captured me and I even felt like I was the part of that world. You probably think that I am becoming a little cray cray here, but I'm telling y'all...
I found Midnight in Paris to be a very inspirational movie. It got me rethink the values, the choices of my life. It's quite sentimental. It's funny. It's simple in a way, but the good simple.
As you probably have understood by now, I really recommend that you watch it.
My favourite quote:
"..that's what the present is. It's a little unsatisfying because life's a little unsatisfying."
It's the moment when they used the quote that is my favourite actually.
Anyways, you guys, I hope you end up watching this movie and let me know in the comments whether you liked it.
Wishing y'all a lovely day or night depending on where you live.
xoxo
Stay true to who you are.
